REAR COIL SPRING ADJUSTER INSTALLATION INFORMATION - WITHOUT ALIGNMENT RIDGE.
1968 - 1972 GM A-Body
1982 - 1998 Camaros, Firebirds, Trans Ams

                                    Part No. BE-6565-R

Budzter's coil spring adjusters will lift your coil springs about 1 1/2 inches without any adjustments. You can then adjust for a lift of about 2 more inches. You can also use our adjusters for preloading the rear suspension (right rear) for maximum traction.

STEP 1: This is a housing from a 71 Chevelle but this also applies to 82 and up Camaros and Firebirds and Trans Ams. Remove the coil spring and the rubber insulators if they are still there, and wire brush around the alignment ridge.

STEP 2: Then cut and grind the old alignment ridge off perfectly flat and smooth. Then using the bottom of the adjuster for a pattern align it in the centre of the hole and turn the bolt holes to about 2 and 8 o'clock and drill two 3/8 holes.

Step 3: Next put the adjuster on the platform and tighten it down with the grade 8 bolts and lock nuts supplied, and turn it down to the bottom until you get it back in the car. Then you can adjust accordingly. This is what it will look like when you are ready to put it back in the car. The grade 8 bolts and lock nuts are hard to turn, but it is worth the effort for safety.
See Note Below.

GM Housing - Adjuster/Coil

NOTE: On Camaros, Firebirds and Trans Ams you may have to trim a little bit off under the drivers side platform (left side) for the adjuster bolts to clear because that is where they attached the panhard bar. Only take off enough for clearance. These ones are just slightly different than the Chevelles.

Budzter's coil spring adjusters will give you almost as much traction as ladder bars or a four link with small slicks when set up properly. This will drop your 60 foot times drastically.

ALWAYS USE ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS! We are not responsible for any accidents, or injuries, or   damage, caused by the installation or use of Budzter Coil Spring Adjusters or Spacers.
